FUJAIRAH AVIATION ACADEMY, formerly known
as Fujairah Aviation Centre, was originally founded in 1986
under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saleh Mohammed
Hamad al Sharqi and as one of the schools first students and
still a keen pilot himself, Sheikh Saleh continues to
promote and support interest and knowledge within the
aviation industry to aspiring pilots.
Fujairah itself enjoys an outstanding climate on the east
coast of the United Arab Emirates and the Academy has the
great advantage of operating from it's own airport. This
boasts a 12000ft runway, navigational beacons enabling
instrument training for VOR, NDB and ILS approaches thus
allowing unequalled access and operational conditions for
flight training.
Over the first twenty years, FUJAIRAH AVIATION ACADEMY has
provided professional aviation training for the Private
Pilot Licence and Commercial Pilot Licence. With the
emergence of the UAE as a world class business centre
bringing innovation, expertise and technology to the region,
we enter into our third decade being proud to introduce an
Academy of Aviation Excellence in the form of the first
dedicated Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) training
organisation in the Middle East.

All flight training is
conducted in the high technology Diamond aircraft (DA40 and
DA42), which are equipped with the very latest in FADEC
engine computers and airline standard "glass cockpits". This
is complimented by, and fully integrated with, additional
training in the Alsim Flight Navigation & Procedures Trainer
(FNPT II). All ground training is conducted in modern, well
equipped, air-conditioned lecture rooms.
All training courses for the Private Pilot Licence and
Commercial Pilot Licence are fully booked until mid 2008 and
the Academy is not accepting bookings for these courses at
the present time.
However, the Academy currently offers the following approved
courses of training:
Airline Transport Pilot Licence (JAA ATPL and GCAA
ATPL)
